Hey everybody!! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and enjoyed time with your loved ones! Before I jump into this dress, I have to tell everyone that gave me feedback THANK YOU!!! I now have a clear view of what I want to create on the blog and Youtube to be more valuable to you on your sewing journey!! I'm so excited to get working on it all too!! Now let take about my new fringe dress!!
McCalls 7501 is a fun, quick sew pattern. I was shocked that it's only 4 pieces for this pattern. I used a Red Ponte Knit for this dress because well....its the holidays!! LOL!! Had I known this pattern was as easy as it was, I would've added to my "Get Your SEWJO Back" post!
One thing I will give you a heads up about is the fringe. I thought the lines would've been on the pattern, so you can transfer them to your fabric, but they're not. So you have the option to play around and make them whatever size you want. I didn't want mine too small, so I cut mine about 1/2 inch each. Also, here's the time to use a rotary cutter if you have one. You'll have cleaner lines and the cutting time will go by a lot quicker!!
I definitely recommend this pattern to beginners. Its super fun, and perfect for holiday gatherings! Enjoy this rest of your holiday, and I'll talk to you all in the next post!!
