Hey everybody!! Hope your Wednesday is going great!! First off I must say, I thank God for the growth that I see in my sewing! I'm not boasting in any way because I still have a lot to learn and more growing to do, but if you could've seen what I was sewing in the beginning.....you'll be thanking God with me!! LOL!!! Now lets talk about my awesome outfit!!
I am in love with this purple! Its so rich not to mention a great ponte knit!! I can't get enough of it! Since peplum tops have been huge for a good minute now, I decided it was time to make me my first one! I have 3 patterns in my stash that are peplums but I chose this Simplicity 1425 pattern! It has different neckline variations on the pattern, and I cut View D! This was a great beginner pattern, and with, I think, little challenge! I decided to omit the button loops and buttons and put an invisible zipper in the back!! Perfect!!
For the skirt, I used Simplicity 1072! I plan to make the top with a matching skirt soon because it just screams "Brittany On The Go"! LOL! This skirt was super easy to sew up! I had no problems with it, so go ahead and stitch you up a couple of them!!
Talk to you all in the next post,
