Hey everybody!! I hope you all had a great weekend!!! I was able to get a lot done, including finish my first submission for the Fabricista Fashion Challenge!! I can't wait to show everyone what I created, and see what the other ladies made!! But first lets talk about this McCalls 7385 maxi dress.
Because of the fabric used on the pattern, and the lack of me reading the pattern description, I thought the zipper was in the front of the dress and I loved that idea!! Once I realized it wasn't, I lost a bit of interest in it, but I made it anyway. I used this beautiful fabric I purchased in LA from The Fabric Store!! I love this fabric! It reminds me of bow-tie pasta!!! The drape and flow of it was perfect for this dress.
As pretty as I think it turned out, I probably won't make this dress again. The neckline of it, is very loosie goosie!! Lol! It didn't call for interfacing, but I believe it would helped my dress have a some stability around the neck.
I hope you're participating in the Fabricista Challenge, because they are giving around 3 yards of the same beautiful sweater knit fabric we received to 3 winners!! Believe me, you want this fabric...it's amazing!!
Talk to you all in the next post,
