Hey hey hey!! Happy Friday!! The weekend is here!!! So excited to talk about this look because this may be the first piece that I was inspired by ready-to-wear, and ACTUALLY made my version of it. I usually just say "oh I can make that", or "thats so cute, I think I'll make it", but never do!! This time was different!! I saw A LOT of fashion bloggers and some sew sisters wearing this Target khaki ruffle wrap skirt, and I was in love!! I loved everything about it, and in my last fabric haul I knew I had some fabric that would be great for it!!

I decided to use this tencel denim from Michael Levine. Tencel is probably my new favorite fabric!! LOL! I love it! The pattern I used for the skirt is McCalls 7606 view C. The skirt has ruffles on the patterns, however I just cut out 2 of piece nine instead of 1, and created my pleats! I didn't use any exact pleat width, I just eyeballed it, and attached it to the skirt! I love the final look it!
The blouse was made using Simplicity 1166! It also happens to be my first vintage pattern!! (a lot of first today lol) I love the big collar on this top and the flamingo fabric is my fav!! I think I saw flamingos just about everywhere this summer, so buying me a couple yards of it was a no brainier!! I think its such a fun fabric. This fabric was slippery, so keep that in mind if you buy it!
Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you have an awesome weekend!!
Blessings
