Hey everybody! First let me be honest...I stopped loving this fabric mid-way through sewing the top!!! Lol, but instead of balling it up and trashing it, I went a head and finished, threw some heels on, and gave the camera some big smiles!!! I want beginners to know, that just because a garment doesn't turn out the way you hoped it would... be proud of your work!! Now lets talk about these patterns!
Simplicity 1465 is repeat pattern that I love. I made this skirt in a stretch denim and in a eyelet overlay fabric! I cut View C again and made no adjustments to it! If you haven't tried this pattern yet, give it a try. It's really easy to sew up, and its great practice for installing invisible zippers!
For the top, I used View A on Burda 6765! This pattern was great, my first official burda pattern! Crop tops are in right now, so I wanted to give one a try. The sleeves did give me a little problem installing, but I figured it out and other than that its pretty straight forward. I did adjust the back by adding a zipper instead of doing the button closure. *Oh one more thing, if you are new to burda patterns....their pattern layout is on the tissue paper not in the instructions!!!*
Thank you for dropping by today! I hope you are having a great Wednesday, and I'll talk to you on Friday!
