Hey everybody! Happy Thursday! Today I'm so excited to share with you a FORUTH make of Simplicity 8094 which happens to be my favorite tunic pattern. I love it and you can check them out here! Even though its been a couple years since I've made them, I knew It would be great in this amazing Ikat fabric.
I just love this fabric (other color way)! It's from a beautiful Etsy shop FiberstoFabric. The design and colors of this fabric are so pretty, and its so lightweight which makes it perfect for a Spring/Summer top! Another one of the reasons I wanted to sew Simplicity 8094 again was because I wanted a garment with minimal seam lines. I didn't want to disrupt this pretty Ikat print so I thought it best to keep it simple but cute to let the fabric shine!
This is really easy pattern and I definitely recommend it for beginners. It features front darts, a bias finished neckline and different length variations. I went with View D on the pattern and I cut a size 16. The only thing I did different was close the side split up a little so no midriff was showing!
