Hey everybody!! I'm excited to share with you my journey to lose 40lbs in 5 months. I started on July 31, so 5 months will end on December 31. I have been losing and gaining the same 9lbs all year and finally got tired of it! I know I can do it because I've done it before....speaking of before here's a quick back story...
I was chunky growing up, but ran track (I sucked LOL) in middle school, and finally shredded the weight. Senior year of high school, I started gaining it back, but didn't really do much about it. A couple years later, I'm married, pregnant with our firstborn and gained a ton of weight! Seriously, I got up to 260lbs, and I had high blood pressure. I wasn't happy and I knew I wanted to lose weight, so I started working out, got down to 207lbs, only to find out I was pregnant with our Jailen. LOL!! (almost out of the 200s)
You think I learned my lesson and kept working out right....WRONG! No discipline, and I got back up to 250lbs. Of course I was not happy, same health problems back, so I started working out again, and over 2 years got down to 150lbs!!! Yes!! I was feeling great, ran a half-marathon, running 3 miles a day, I was happy! And then Jakeem came along and the cycle started all over again!
I was so mad at myself, but the damage was done, and I was up to 240lbs when I had Jakeem! You guessed it, I worked out hard, ate great and got down to 170lbs. I realized this was a great weight for me! I had my curves, and it wasn't hard to maintain this weight. So yeah...I got pregnant again!! Lol!! And here we are now, trying to lose the weight I gained while carrying Justice! After having her, I was at 220lbs, and went back and forth between 220-211lbs this whole year.
So now that you know more about past weight gain and loss, we can get started with this first weigh in!
July 31 -Starting Weight : 217lbs
August 7- Current Weight : 213.4lbs
BODY MEASUREMENTS: AUGUST 7

This week was tough! I had headaches the first two days, but I pushed through and made sure I got my water in. I'm excited for next week, to really start lifting and adding to my cardio. I would like to get my mile time down. I'm doing a mile in about 14-15 minutes now, so hopefully I can start decreasing that time.
****I am NOT a health/fitness professional by any means. I'm ONLY sharing my journey, with hopes to motivate you on yours****
Until next weigh- in, blessings y'all!!
