Hey everybody! I hope all is going well with you! I've been sewing away at my evening dress that I need for Friday! Yeah, like tomorrow Friday!!! It's a really simple sew that I can't wait to share with you all! More on that later, but today, I'm sharing the MUST make lounge dress!
I call it that because not only is it super easy to make, it's really comfortable and perfect to relax around the house in....or run some errands like I did! Lol!! This pattern is Vogue 1496 and if you don't have it, you can grab it on sale right now on the McCalls website!
I love the design of the dress being loose at the top and then tapered in around the knees for a better fit! You only have 4 pieces for this dress. The front, back, facing and pocket. This pattern instructions are the best that I've read so far, the designer really wrote the instructions clear and gave her opinion on things like the mesh inset! I also took her advice and raised the v-neck up 2" so I wouldn't have to wear a camisole underneath! Most of the seams (hem, pocket, sleeve) are done with Steam-a-seam and then topstitched!!! Win!!
