Hey everybody!! Hope you're doing well today!! If you follow me on Instagram then you may have already seen this dress, as well as went through the construction process with me! Thats right! I sewed this dress in an insta-story on Instagram. So if you're not following me, make sure that you do because I plan to do more easy sew projects like this dress soon! Speaking of this dress, lets talk about it, shall we?!!
Amongst my growing list of things I love to sew, fun sleeves are on it! So when McCalls dropped this pattern (7505) last fall, I knew I had to have it! I love the swing of the dress, it screams comfort plus no spanx so that a WIN!! But the sleeves are what makes it special. The sleeves are the super popular trumpet/bell but I decided to add a cute tie around them to make it even more cuter.
The ties are cut 3x30, but you can cut shorter or longer if you like. I cut 8 and sewed two together leaving me with 4 ties (2 for each sleeve). I would go into details of how I did it, but it's so much easier to show you, so YES I have a video for this one coming next week!! It's a really quick and easy dress to sew! Highly recommend it to beginners, so if you don't have it already and you like this style, definitely give it a try!!
Fabric is a liverpool knit from LaFinch Fabrics. This print is out but they have new prints available!!
Justice gave no smiles and in this pic (ANY of her pics). She's actually walking off to get back in the car and to pretend to drive LOL!!! More on her dress soon!! You all have an awesome blessed week, and I'll talk to you all in the next post!
