Hey everybody!! Happy Wednesday!! Ever have a piece of clothing that you loved from back in the day when you were young, but never got?....The basic overalls were it for me! I loved them, not to mention, all my friends had some!! BUT now that I sew, I finally decided to make me a pair!!
McCalls 7547 is a great pattern!! I am in love with the fit of my overalls! This pattern also has pants as an options, and I think this will be a go-to pant pattern for me!! The construction was really straight forward! Pattern is well written, however, its a lot of pieces and topstitching for the overalls, so if you plan to make a pair, just take it one step at a time. No need to rush your project.
For fabric, I used a Sky Blue Stretch Denim (sold-out, options) from LaFinch Fabrics. The fabric is AH-MAZING!!! I love the stretch, color and feel of this denim. The buckles I picked up from my local Walmart, and instead of using a button to close the side, I used a brown snap.
This is a perfect mom on-the-go look! I told you awhile back I want to start creating a realistic everyday wardrobe for myself, and this is a great addition to my closet!! I wore them with another favorite in my closet, Simplicity 1613, and my white chucks!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! If you've made a pair of overalls or plan to, let me know below!! I pray you have a great rest of your week!
