Happy Monday everybody! I'm really excited because I am starting to get into the world of PDF patterns. I was inspired to start from the amazing Candice Ayala. The clothing she creates for her daughter from PDF patterns are simply beautiful. I hear that PDF patterns are really great, easy to follow, and addicting too. Lol!!
First PDF pattern is from Bella Sunshine Designs. I wanted to start easy, and not overwhelm myself, so when I saw this FREE Isabella's Banded Skirt, I quickly subscribed, added it to my cart and started printing. The skirt came together so fast, and I was able to follow along with the directions with no problem. With so many fabrics, and colors to play with, I will definitely be making her more of these for the summer/fall.
Bella Sunshine Designs PDF Pattern Review:
PDF Pattern Name: Isabella's Banded Skirt: 12months - Girls 10
Sewing Level: Absolute Beginner
What size did you cut: 18 months
Were the pattern pieces easy to assemble? Yes! The pieces lined up perfect, they have a diagram above the pattern pieces and they even have diamond shapes on each piece that meets another, so they took the all guess work out!
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes! The instructions were very easy to follow, and I love that they tell you to finish your seams! Thats important!!
What did you like or dislike about the PDF pattern? I loved everything about it! It was a quick and fast sew, that I will make again and again. I do have to get use to assembling pattern pieces though, because I'm use to sewing with commercial patterns.
Would you sew it again? Definitely
Would you recommend it to others? Absolutely! Great first PDF to start with!!
Hope you are starting your week off great, and I'll talk to you all in the next post!!
