Hey everybody!! I do hope you are enjoying your day because its scripture share time!!! For me, this is a 3 for 1 scripture! You can read it and be blessed 3 times for 3 different situations that WILL come up in life! It’s one of my FAVORITE versus. So let the sharing begin!
For those of you don’t know I am from Georgia, and also a military spouse. You can read more about me over on my about page. Our first duty station (well my first, husband second) was in Georgia so I was more than excited. Family was close, the climate and everything was the same. I loved it! (Familiar isn’t always best, it can keep you from growing and being who God created you to be…that’s another blog post though)!

Second duty station was the complete OPPOSITE. I’m talking about California; desert, over 100 degree dry heat opposite. LOL! I did not like it. No joke, as soon as we arrived, I saw tumbleweeds blowing across the road!!! Once husband checks in, he gets word he’ll be deploying in 4 months. I was like NOOO! This is too much Lord. I remember feeling so alone and saying God You brought me all the way out here, away from everyone I know, now my husband is deploying, and it’s just me and the children (2 boys then). Tears, tears, and more tears! I was so depressed!
BUT GOD!!!...I don’t remember if God led me to this scripture or if someone encouraged me with it but Hebrews 13:5 saved me. After receiving and remembering this scripture daily, things started to turn around. It didn’t happen overnight, or the next week or months even but slowly and surely I realized that desert wasn’t so bad. I meet great friends that I’m still friends with today (one is my bestie). I was able to attend a great church where they spiritually made me get out of my comfort zone, and put my trust in God more. I completed my first half-marathon while stationed there, and we left with 2 more additions to our squad!!!

So if you or someone you know is battling feelings of being all alone, I know it’s not easy but I’ve been there. I encourage you lift your head up and remember what our God said. “I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE”!
Talk to you in the next post!
