Hey everybody! I'm so excited to share with you all my sewing space! I don't have the biggest room (or a door LOL) but I just love it! Its the perfect size for me right now, and as much as I want the privacy a door would provide, as Ms. Erica Bunker pointed out to me, my children are small, they need to know where I am and more importantly I need to know where they are.
My space also demands that I keep it tidy and clean because I sew in my kitchen. Can't have stuff every where ALL the time. So in the video, I'm sharing with you my main area. I didn't show the storage of my fabrics and majority of my patterns, because they are stored in another room in my home. Below are links for all the big/popular items (or similar pieces thats available now) if you're interested in them.
So lets get started!
White Board: My board is 48x36. I purchased mine from Walmart for $9. Here's the one I have, but I'd recommend shopping around in store first.
Ironing board and Wall Mirror are both from Walmart.
White Clothing Rack: RIGGA Clothes Rack from IKEA.
Hangers: I purchased mine from TJMaxx, but here's a link to some on Amazon.
Wall Frames: I purchased these from Walmart. They were $1 each. Here's the online link, but I'd recommend shopping in store first.
Cutting Table: Sullivan Home Hobby Table. I purchased mine from Joann and use a 60% coupon.
Cutting Mat: Sullivan Cutting Mat.
Professional Form: PGM is a store thats highly recommended for shopping and purchasing a from. I don't know where my form is from, because I bought it from my old dry cleaners for $20. One day I'd like to invest in one closer to my measurements and when that time comes, I'll come here to purchase.
Cork Board: Quartet Classic Cork Board
Gray Rotary Mats: Fiskars Self-Healing Cutting Mats
White Roll Paper: Savage Seamless Background Paper, Super White
White Foam Board: Elmers Sturdy-board Foam, White
TWO White Bookshelves: Orion Wide 3-Shelf Bookcase. I don't think this is my exact ones, but they are similar.
Camera: Sony A6000 w/ 55-210mm lens. I purchased my camera as a bundle from my MCX for $598
White boxes: TJENA Storage Box w/lid from Ikea.
Gray Boxes: Mainstay 2pk Half Size Collapsible Storage Bins
White Sewing Tables: LINNMON / ADILS TABLE from IKEA (I have two of these tables)
Pegboard: I couldn't find one listed online but I purchased my board from Lowes. Its a 4x4 board. It was all brown when I purchased it. The price was under $20. I painted it white. My neighbor framed it, and I painted the frame black.
Spool/Cone Thread Racks: I purchased both from Joann. You can find them in Walmart, Joanns and Hobby Lobby. If you don't have one of these stores near you, here's a link to one on Amazon, but I'd try to find them in a store first. It'll be cheaper especially if you use a coupon.
Peg Board Hooks: Plus Hawk 43-Piece Steel Pegboard Kit
White Baskets: Simplify Trellis Storage (similar to the two I have)
Jewelry Tray/Necklace Display: I got these from Stella and Dot when I sold jewelry for like 1 week! THIS is a simple DIY. You can get the cute glass/gold trays and jewelry display boxes, or you can use the top of a shoe box, or something similar.
Shoes: I shop for my shoes at Target, and DSW.
Plastic Storage: Sterilite 3 Drawer Wide Cart from Walmart.
Voiceover Mic: Blue Yeti USB Microphone
White work table: Cosco 6" Centerfold Table
