Hey everybody! Happy Friday!! Forgive me, I haven't posted all week and I've missed y'all!! I have been sewing though!! I'm also home for a few days enjoying family, so I was happy to let my mom take these photos!! If you follow me on Instagram then you saw the latest wrap dress I made! Stay tuned for pics of that soon, but for now lets get into this awesome collaboration with my sewing sister Judith of Judith Dee World.
This happens to be Judith's and I second collaboration together. If you missed the first one, check that out here. Judith and I both love shirt dresses. In fact we are both in the Vogue Pattern Magazine Oct/Nov issue for our shirt dresses!!!
I wanted to try a new shirtdress pattern that I haven't used before so I went with McCalls 7351 View B. For my fabric, I decided to use a navy cotton I had in my stash. I also thought it would be nice to add some topstitching to it, so I added it around the collar, button placket, hem, pockets, and I also did some extra detail stitching around the pockets.
My cardigan was made using New Look 6735 View A. I had some beautiful sweater knit animal print that I thought about using, but decided a neutral ponte knit would be best. I can pair with many other looks this fall/winter season.
Check out Judith look below! Love how she styled it with the belt, leggings and booties! You can see and read more about her look on her blog.
I hope you all have a great weekend. Be sure to sign up for my newsletter, I gave my subscribers some great inspiration for their weekend sewing time!!!
