Hey everybody!! Happy Monday! Its spring break for us, so the squad and I will be getting out to enjoy some sun all week! But first, lets talk about my new skirt! Simplicity 2258 is a great beginners pattern! The instructions were clear and I was able to sew the front pockets on with no problem! Best of all, it only has 4 pieces to cut out!!
For my look, I chose view C and here is the adjustment I made to the pattern:
- I added 6 inches to the length
I purchased this fabric from Joanns off their clearance table (YESS!!!) a couple weeks ago and it was the first time I sewed with linen! I absolutely love it!! If you have not sewn with linen before, go ahead. Its great fabric for spring and summer!!
*TRY SOMETHING NEW*
For this pattern I did 2 new things. Sewing with linen and doing front pockets! These pockets look hard but they are SO easy! Trust me...give them a try if you haven't!!!
Talk to you in the next post
