Hey everybody!!! So I told you in the post for Justice baby eyelet skirt that I was able to make me one in that beautiful fabric also right! Well, here it is!!! I used my new favorite skirt pattern Simplicity 1465. Yes, the same pattern I used to make my floral denim skirt! Its so easy to follow and it's one of those pattern that can be cut and sewn in the same day!! Very beginner friendly too...with the exception of the invisible zipper. They can be tricky installing with having to move the coils and stitch as close as you can to them without sewing them, but with practice, you'll be putting them in everything!
Like I said in this post I want Justice and I to have more clothes that match in our closets, so to have a similar look as hers, I just wore it with a denim shirt, and my keds!!
Back in February, I was on Periscope watching Mrs. Victoria Baylor...you know from Ten Thousand Hours Of Sewing, or maybe you know her from The Tailor and The Dressmaker on FB!!! She is so awesome! So on the scope, she was saying that it was time for her to part with some of the fabric in her stash! I thought..why not, so I reached out to her on FB, and to my surprise she was as excited as I was!!
Long story short, she invited me to come to her house to shop her stash and let me tell me....it was bags, and bags, filled with amazing fabric!! I didn't want to be greedy but I bought enough to start my own stash and this was one of the beautiful pieces of fabric I purchased!!!
I said all of that to say this....I was nervous to reach out to her...but I didn't let that stop me! Don't let nerves, fear, and being told no, stop you! If I did, I wouldn't have meet an amazing seamstress, never would've gotten the awesome advice I received, not to mention I would've missed the best deal on fabric ever!
Talk to you all in the next post!
