Hey everybody! So now that I am starting Fall sewing, I’m adding some basics onto my project list like this Briar T-Shirt from Megan Nielsen! I don’t make a ton of t-shirts but every now and then, it’s fun to whip up some because for my style, a t-shirt will get a lot of wear in my day to day wardrobe! Let’s get into the details about this shirt!
Pattern Used: This top is the Briar fro Megan Nielsen. It a T-shirt and Sweater pattern and I made View D with the three-quarter sleeve.
Pattern Description: The stylish alternative to a basic t-shirt or sweater. Pattern features a high scooped front hem, low curved back hem, and includes two lengths, two neckline finishes, three sleeve lengths and two patch pockets. *description from Megan Nielsen shop
Pattern Sewing Level: This pattern is for a Beginner.
What size did you cut?: I cut the size 16 and I like the fit! It’s not snug or overly loose! I like it a lot!
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, they were. Megan has great instruction and Illustrations in her patterns.
What did you like or dislike about the pattern? I LOVE the hem on this top! I think it’s super cute and if you like to wear leggings this would be a great tee to provide some coverage. I also like that i had two different options for finishing the neck. You could use a neck band or binding. I went with the band.
Did you make any pattern alterations: I made no alterations to this pattern.
Did you record a sew along for this pattern? No I did not but Megan has some great posts about constructing this top already available!
Would you sew it again? Yes I would! Like I said, I don’t sew t-shirts a lot but I really like the details on this one and I will whip up a couple more for Fall!
Would you recommend it to others? Yes!
