Hey everybody!! Happy Monday!! For those who don't Shundra Davis of Shun D. DIY Fashions first let me just say, she's an amazing seamstress!! You have to check her blog out. She also partnered with an organization (4HNYC) to start a sewing initiative called "Sewing for Haiti". When I saw this on social media, I knew I wanted to be apart of it. God has blessed me with a gift and resources, what better way to give Him glory than to pay it forward.
So with 1 yard of fabric in each print, I was able to cut 2 dresses from 1 yard and complete 8 pillow case dresses to send to Haiti! My mom visited me at the right time, because she was able to help me complete these!! For the pattern, I used Simplicity 2228 (similar pattern here).
It's not too late to join in. You can read more about it from Shundra here and share your gift or other items that would help a child or family in Haiti.
Have a great week, and I'll talk to you all in the next post!
