Hey everybody! Who else loves a white linen dress in the summer time?! I know I do! It just screams summer right! So that’s what I’m sharing about today, this McCalls 7922 dress! It’s definitely a favorite right now because I just love the finish look and of course the twist detail! So let’s jump right into it and chat about the details.
Pattern Used: I used McCalls 7922, and made View D on the pattern.
Pattern Description: Fitted twist-front dresses have facings, invisible back zipper, back darts, applied front band detail and bodice and length variations.B, D: Shaped hem. No provision provided for above waist or hip adjustments. *description from McCalls website
Pattern Sewing Level: This pattern is categorized as Easy. If you can install a zipper, I think you can be successful making this dress!
What size did you cut?: I cut the 16 for the bust, 18 waist, and 22 for the hips.
Were the instructions easy to follow? They were well written! Even though, I made a user error and didn’t pay attention to the illustrations, the pattern is easy to follow along with.
What did you like or dislike about the pattern? I LOVE the twist detail on this dress! I am a HUGE fan of twist, and ties so I was all over this pattern when it was released. I have no dislikes about it!
Did you make any pattern alterations: The only adjustment I made was for merging the pattern to cut my size.
Where did you purchase the fabric(s)? I used this white Linen from The Fabric Store online for this dress! I love the quality of their linens and their color range.
