Hey everybody! Happy Thursday! When it comes to being an “influencer” or just someone that brands want to work with to send products to review, you REALLY have to recognize the companies that not only you love but your audience will appreciate and love too. I get emails weekly to collaborate and review products that lead more to a lifestyle blogger and thats not me. AND thats okay! Its better to know exactly what you love/want to talk and share about rather than work with everyone reviewing products you nor your audience cares about!
Which brings me to Ecopeco Self Healing Cutting Mats! You all know I’m a rotary cutting girl, so when Ecopeco reached out, I was super excited to review one of their mats and also help spread the word about this company. Ecopeco was born when a father created a non-toxic table mat for his asthmatic son so he could continue his passion to make art! I don’t know about you but sometimes I really don’t think about the toxins that are in my/my children crafting/art supplies and this company is not only bringing awareness to that but also solving the problem.
As you can see, the mat comes flat-packed which I love because I didn’t have to wait days/weeks for it to lay flat. It’s also odorless, so you won’t experience any headaches causes from chemicals with the Ecopeco mat. YES!!! These mats are kid-friendly, 100% PVC & BPA free and non slip. They are available in three different colors and sizes. I received the 18”x24” Mocha Brown mat.
The company states that the grid is fade proof so I’m anxious to see how it holds up in the next couple months of use! I took close ups so you can see more of the grid and also the symbols that are on them.
I thought it was important to share a comparison to another mat that I own. So when it comes to thickness, in the photo below you can see that the Ecopeco mat is a little thicker. Even though it’s thicker, its still very lightweight. You can also see the other side of the mat which is the deep brown color.
I just recently received the mat, so I haven’t had time to put it through a project or two but once I do, I’ll follow up with another review. I will say this mat is smaller than my other mats. I typically sew women garments so I would need to purchase a couple more to cover my cutting surface. I think after I create a couple projects with it, I will give this mat to Justice. With it being kid-friendly, toxics free, lightweight, durable and smaller than my current mats, it’ll be perfect for her. Justice loves crafting especially glitter (UGH), so I’m looking forward to giving her this Ecopeco mat that I know she’ll love and use a lot! Its basically hers already…..
Thank you so much for stopping by and special thanks to the amazing people at Ecopeco for gifting me (well Justice lol) this mat! Until next time…
