Hey everybody! Happy May! I hope you all are excited for the new month! This is a special month for me! Its my anniversary month (12 years) and Mothers Day! Basically its a month to celebrate me LOL! Its also exciting because my mom is coming in Cali to visit! I can not wait! I’m literally counting down the days! But until she gets here and I go all ghost on y’all, lets chat about my new Butterick 6621 dress.
When I first saw this pattern, it was a MUST buy for me! I love dresses with twist and tie details so I was excited for this one! I went with View A on this pattern. It came together quick and I found the instructions easy to follow. For size, I cut the 18 and while it fit perfect, I do wish I would’ve went up a size.
For fabric, I used this super soft Double Brushed Costello Boho Floral Knit from LaFinch Fabrics. I love double brushed knit! The inside and outside of the fabric are both soft and it just feels amazing!
I paired my dress with some of my favorite wedges! I can totally see myself styling it with sneakers and a jean jacket! Overall, I like this dress a lot. I find this view on the pattern to be very similar to McCalls 7429 and I happen to prefer that pattern for this view better, but I will revisit this pattern for the other views.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Until next time…
