Happy Wednesday everybody!!! I can finally tell you all about this amazing skirt. I was chosen to be a tester for this PDF pattern from Savvy Patterns, called The Runway Skirt. Savvy Patterns is owned by Aubrey of Skirt Fixation and this is her first sewing pattern. The Runway skirt is described as a vintage inspired skirt designed in three lengths. Its made in stable stretch knits, with lightweight sheer goblets in the back. The pattern is available in sizes 00-24, and perfect for advanced beginner sewers.
For my skirt, I cut the size 18, but graded down to the 16. The skirts comes together really fast. The pattern was easy to print, assemble, and follow along. Because it can be made in three different lengths, I think this skirt will be perfect for work, or evening wear. The only problem I had was hemming the goblets, but that was user error! LOL! We all know how hemming curves are!!! I used a stretch red velvet for the skirt, and a lightweight peach skin for the goblets to make my Simplicity 8131 shirt.
The Runway Skirt is an exclusive pattern launch with UpCraft Club, and you can get 20% off your order now!!!
We're halfway through the week y'all! Hope its going great for you, and I'll talk to you in the next post!!!
