Hey everybody! Happy Monday! I can not believe we have made it to our last week of my TÉLIO collaboration! I really do hope that you all have enjoyed this month of makes. I had a lot of fun not only sewing this pieces up, but sharing them with you! Fall officially started Saturday, so this last week project is perfect!
I don’t live in a climate where it gets extremely cold during the winter so for me, a lightweight jacket with potential for layering is fine to get me through the cold months! I love a good utility jacket! Its so casual and cool to me. I love all the details, not to mention the many different things you can add to personalize it. Like fun shaped pockets, hoods, zippers, and belts!
For this project, I decided to go with Simplicity 8700. This one of their Pattern Hacking patterns, making it that much easier to really create the jacket you want.
Here are other great utility jacket patterns you could try out….
You know by now that talking fabric is my favorite! LOL! I love looking and shopping fabrics. For my jacket, I used a TÉLIO Cargo Twill (style# 38705, color: 10 Ochre)! I love this fabric! Its so amazing to work with and the color is fantastic! I found it and these other colors at Stone Mountain Fabrics.
Be sure to come back Wednesday to see my finished look and how I paired it with other makes from this collab! Until then…
