Black Corduroy High Waisted Pants: McCalls 7726 + The Annie Cardigan PDF

Hey friends! Happy Friday!! Hope you had a productive week! I'm so happy its the weekend! I plan to do a little shopping tomorrow for some Valentines Day fabric! I don't know what I'm making just yet, but I would love to make at least 2 things before the 14th! We'll see though! I'm actually thinking I'll only sew using red and different shades of it for the whole month of February! Again.....we'll see! LOL!

Today I'm sharing another make of McCalls 7726! I mean what can I say.....I love this pattern! Its so versatile, and its a great trendy pants pattern. This is View B and I made it in a Black Corduroy fabric from LaFinch Fabrics. For size I cut the size 18 and made no adjustments. I love the fit of these better than the previous pair I made; I cut those in a size 20 (because I assumed instead of measuring myself first, plus I've never cut a 18 throughout my hip, so I just knew I needed a 20).

The construction of these and the wide legs are slightly different besides the obvious leg variation. The front pleats on these are created after the facing has been folded down and zipper installed. On the wide leg view, the pleats are done first before folding the facing and installing the zipper! I actually liked view B method more because you don't have to go back and tack the facing down by hand (I know, I know hand sewing, don't judge me) like view D. The facing will the finished when you do the pleats.

Overall, I love this pattern! If you can install a front fly zipper, insert pocket and pleats, I would say give this pattern a try! I can't wait to make it in olive, denim and white for spring!

I paired them with a simple white tee and Mimi G Annie Cardigan PDF pattern! I love cardigans! I wear them everywhere, in church, I always have one in the car, even while in the house, I'm in a cardigan! LOL! I made this one using a Double Knit from LaFinch Fabrics. For size, I cut the L. It gives me a nice oversize, snuggle cardi, and thats what I was going for this one. Next time I make it, I'll cut the M for a closer fit! Adding this pattern to my remake pile!!

Thanks for stopping by! You all have a great relaxing, safe weekend, and I'll talk to you all in the next post!

Blessings
