Cold Shoulder w/ Flounce Knit Dress: Vogue 9238
Happy Monday!! Hope you enjoyed your weekend! Mines started a little early as my children were out of school Thursday and Friday, so I may be amongst the few that were ready to start this week!!! Lol!! I'm excited to share with you all that I'll be a fabric reviewer for LaFinch Fabrics for the next couple months, so you'll get a up close look at their beautiful fabrics.
The first fabric that I created with was their Bentota Bloom Liverpool Knit! I thought the colors were beautiful so I got it, but was a little unsure what I wanted to make with it. But first lets talk about Liverpool knit in case you're not sure what it is.
I like to describe Liverpool as a double knit with a crepe texture! It has a great medium weight, perfect amount of 4- way stretch and feels amazing!!
After I received my fabric, I posted the fabrics asking for pattern suggestions and my sew sista Emily suggested Vogue 8825 for one of the prints!! Of course, I searched it, and of course Vogue patterns were sale, so I bought that one and two others including Vogue 9238. After looking at Vogue 9238 and the fabric they picked for the model dress, I knew then what I was going to make with my fabric!!
Vogue 9238 is an awesome pattern. From cut to hem, it took me about 3-3.5 hours to finish! It sewed it really great and the instructions were easy to follow. If you're ready to start sewing Vogue, add this one to your list!
I used a jersey 80/12 needle to sew with. After cut, the fabric will roll, but a little starch and a press will fix that!
