Hey everybody! Happy Monday! Today I'm sharing with you a new dress that I made for my mini me! I feel like I'm off to a good start creating more for her this year! This marks the second dress I've made and I have another on my cutting table now!

This is The Spirited Dress! Its the first published PDF of the awesome, sweet and talented Candice Ayala! I love this pattern! It a structured knit dress that features a beautiful Queen Anne neckline, circle skirt for loads and loads of twirls and includes a bonus underpants pattern.

This pattern was very easy to sew. The instructions are awesome and leads you through every step with photos. I especially loved learning about the "burrito method". It's the perfect way to finish sleeves armholes with linings.

For Justice, I cut the size 2. It fits her perfect and I didn't have to make any modifications. For fabric, I used a pink quilted knit (option, option) that I had in my stash from Hobby Lobby. I'd only purchased 1 yard so I was super happy when I realized I had just enough to make her this dress. The lining is a white tricot that I had in my stash also. I wanted to make sure the lining was lightweight so it wouldn't be bulky on the inside and at the seams.

Justice absolutely loves this dress. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw her happy dance when she tried it on! LOL! I know I'll be making more of these for her little wardrobe! You can click here to purchase the pattern, and here to go to Candice site to read more about her pattern!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have an awesome week, and we'll chat soon in the next post!!

Blessings
