Happy Saturday!! Its Scripture Share time, and today we're talking about being ashamed of the gospel of Christ. Our past and sometimes our own relatives can make us feel ashamed and bond us to our old man! I encourage you today to be bold and unashamed for Christ!!Read More
Happy Friday!! So happy for the weekend! I plan to get some sewing done for an upcoming article in SewSewDef magazine and just relax with my crew!! I hope you checked out my Instagram story today because I went through everything from the conference swag bag!! It was filled with goodies....and I'm also giving TWO bags away!! Stay tuned for details on how to enter!!
Today were gonna chat about these two makes. I made the tank using McCalls 7603 view C in a light a flowy challis from La Finch Fabrics. I made this top for the #summersewchallenge!! I hope you are joining in because there are prizes to be won!! Very easy to make and the instructions were easy to follow along. I'm hoping to get another made before July 1st!!
The skirt was made using Simplicity 1887 View D with View E ties!! I love the way it turned out! I found a great denim at Walmart that I used for the skirt! It's such a great make, I traveled in it to LA last week!! This pattern was written well, and the instructions were easy to follow as well! Now this, I did record and the video is below!!!
I hope you all have a great weekend! Can't wait to see your skirt!!
Hey everybody!! I'm back!! I had the best time in LA!! The conference was amazing! The instructors, vendors, fashion show, shopping, everything was awesome!! It was so great to meet my sew sisters!! The amount of love you all showed me was overwhelming in the best way!! I was so humbled and grateful! It encouraged and motivated me to keep going! Thank you!
Today I'm talking about McCalls 7543! Clearly I love me some denim, and off-the-shoulder dresses and tops! This pattern is a quick and easy sew thats great to throw on and go in! I made View D with View B sleeves!
Like I said, this is a easy dress to sew, however I found forming the narrow hem around the curve of the sleeve to be a bit tedious and annoying! I got through it though using tons of pins. I think lining the sleeves would be a great option to eliminate the narrow hem, and give it a nice clean finish. The Sew With Me video for this pattern is at the end of the post! Note: I did split the sleeve in the video, but it can be lined without splitting it, if the split sleeve look is not your style.
Let me know if you make this dress, I would love to see your version of it!! Hope you have a great day, and I'll talk to you in the next post!
Today, we're talking about McCalls 6696! You all know I LOVE shirt dresses!! They weren't always easy for me, and sometimes the collar still gives me problems, but they are my favorite dress to sew and wear!! For this dress, I used a floral lightweight denim from Joann. I use to be all about solid fabrics when I first started sewing, but now I'll take good print, especially florals any day!!Read More
Happy Saturday!! You all know what Saturday means around here....Scripture Sharing time!! I'm talking about asking things from God and doing it the way its written in Matthew 7:7-8. Ask, seek, and knock!! We're also moving over in James to talk about the one thing you MUST do when you ask.Read More
Today I'm sharing with you Simplicity 8292!! This dress screams elegant to me!! It's simple but very classy!! I think the flutter sleeves is what really makes it special!! I love that the skirt of the dress is cut with side front/back pieces. It allows for me to grade my pattern in specific areas and get the fit I like.Read More

Todays Scripture is coming from John 6:64,70 KJV. I pray that it will be a reminder to you that everybody is not for you, so it's best to seek God for Him to tell you the true intentions of those around you!!Read More
