Hey everybody! Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having a great week! Fall season is here so it’s time for me to wrap up my summer sewing. Today, I’m sharing the last of my summer makes. I made this Vogue top a couple months ago but forgot to photograph and blog it. I’m a shoulder girl, so I’m always up for an off the shoulder garment. I really love the way it turned out so let’s get into the details.

the details

Pattern Used: I used Vogue 9316 and made View C on the pattern with the bow from View B.

Pattern Description: Semi-fitted tops have encased elastic and length and sleeve variations. *description from Vogue Website

Pattern Sewing Level: I didn’t see a sewing level on the pattern, but if you can create gathers, narrow hems and elastic casing, you can sew this top.

What size did you cut?: I cut the size 16 for this top.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes they were. I didn’t have any issues with the directions or illustrations on the pattern.

What did you like or dislike about the pattern? I really liked the sleeve variations. I preferred View B sleeves over View C but I liked the tunic length. You can pair it with bottoms or without, it has enough coverage. Attaching the bow was a little finicky, I originally thought I could just stitch the middle of the bow down and tie it, but that was a fail. After several other attempts, I just did what the directions said and used a clip like the ones behind brooches to hold it in place.

Did you make any pattern alterations: I made no adjustments to the pattern.

Where did you purchase the fabric(s)? I purchased this fabric about two years ago from The Sewing Studio. It was in one of the Manic Monday sales and I had to have it. The colors are so beautiful together.

Did you record a sew along for this pattern? No, I did not record a sew along for it.

Would you sew it again? Yes I would.

Would you recommend it to others? Yes! Its super cute, comfy to wear and perfect for those hot summer days.

Well, that is all for today! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! Until next time….

Blessings,
